March 27, 2013 - Farm Works Software® has released version 2013.06.551 of the Office software.

Key features include:

• Loan History Report - Farm Works™ Accounting software now offers a new report that shows details and totals of payments (principal and interest), borrowings, and the total balance (combined short and long term).

• Updated Report Viewing - Accounting software now allows multiple reports to be viewed at the same time.

• Multi-Edit of Layer – Mapping software added a right-click option when editing a layer for “Properties (multi edit)”.  This allows you to select a group of points, polygons/areas or lines on a layer.  You can then right-click and select “Properties (multi edit)” and you will be given a spreadsheet where you can enter/change attributes for each of the selected map items.

• Support for CNH Advanced Planter Data – Mapping software now shows individual rows/sections on the map for CNH planting data.

• Support for Manure Application Data for Trimble CFX-750™ Display – Mapping software now supports N, P and K map attributes for CFX-750 manure application data.

• Updated Crop Insurance Planted Acres - Mapping software now computes the “Crop Insurance Planted Acres” by looking at the planting map and removing any acres that are overlapping.

• New Recalculate Button in the Yield by Variety Report – Mapping software offers a new button that will recalculate the variety layers for all selected fields and enterprises.

• Support for UTM – NAD 83 – Mapping software now supports displaying coordinates in UTM – NAD 83.

• Expanded Option for Write Job Data - Mapping software now offers option to export boundaries and/or guidance lines.

• CLAAS Telematics Yield Support - Mapping software added support for reading CLAAS yield data that was collected with the CLAAS telematics system.

• Generic Import "Joining Data" Enhancement - Mapping software can utilize attributes from both a shape file and a text file onto a single layer using Generic Import (previously it was limited to only the attributes from the text file).

• Trimble Guidance Line Fix - Resolved issue when reading in new guidance lines collected with a Trimble FmX® or CFX-750 would sometimes result in previously mapped lines being duplicated and shifted.

• Enhanced Refreshing of Legend for Map Editing - Legends will not be changed unless a text/choice (or discrete number) attribute is added or completely removed from the layer.

• New Drainage Report - Surface software offers new Drainage Report that can be printed for planned or completed drainage lines and gives the total length of each size of tile/pipe.

• Levee Enhancements - Surface software updated the Levee Tool so that when you select the tool, it will load a previously created levee which can be edited.

• Elevation Cursor Display - Surface software now displays the elevation where your cursor is located in the lower right-hand corner of the program when a topographic layer is displayed.

• Minimum Depth Fix - Surface software now supports minimum depths less than zero.

February 19, 2013 - Mike Martinez, Trimble, discusses new products from Trimble at the National Farm Machinery Show, including fleet and productivity reporting through the Connected Farm, which allows farmers to gather field data from vehicles to one location. Productivity reporting helps farmers find inefficiencies in their operations. Also new is the Remote Assistant, which allows a farmer to view cab data remotely rather than visiting the cab in the field.

Farm Works Software® will be hosting a Level 1 training class in Hamilton, Indiana on March 6-7, 2013.  This is a great opportunity to learn how to better utilize the software while networking with other users at the same time.

Laptops are welcome, but not required.  If you are bringing your own laptop, please make sure you have the latest version of software installed and registered prior to attending.

Automated Crop Insurance Reporting from Farm Works Software® allows you to electronically submit your precision farming data (such as planting and harvest) to compatible insurance companies.  Not only does this simplify government reporting, it also saves you valuable time by eliminating paperwork and searching for the required information.

January 18, 2013 - Farm Works Software® has released version 2013.05.545 of the Office software.

Enhancements include:

• Support for Trimble CFX-750 Yield Data - Farm Works™ Mapping software now supports reading yield data from the Trimble® CFX-750™ display.

• Guidance Layer Copy/Paste Enhancements - Mapping software now supports additional enhancements to copy and paste of guidance lines.  If you copy and paste a line to a guidance line layer, the program will create a new guidance line with the appropriate type (Straight A/B or Contour) so the line can be sent out to a supported display.

• Support for Ag Leader Ag Data Files – Farm Works Mapping software supports new "Ag Leader AgData Logs" data driver (*.agdata and *.agsetup) which is Version 1.0.11.0. This version supports reading yield data (including summary information), coverage/as-applied data (including summary information), guidance lines, boundaries, supplies, operators, equipment, tank mixes (note that tank mixes must be linked to an existing tank mix), and markers. This version also supports writing out guidance lines, boundaries, supplies, operators, and tank mixes.

• Enhanced Tank Mix Linking – Farm Works Mapping software enables linking of imported tank mixes from a display to existing ones on the desktop computer. In the prior version, linker function only listed supplies.

• Updated Scale Ticket Functionality – Mapping software now offers enhancements to scale ticket functionality. In the past, the Scale Ticket box would only apply the FM% when the ticket moisture was above the Dry Moisture %. It now applies it regardless of moisture level.

• Added Support for Relative Heights in Profile View - Farm Works Surface software now allows you to view a profile that shows elevation with relative heights instead of only elevation. This view is activated when data is logged with Relative Heights.

• Improvements to Overall Speed – Farm Works Surface software has received a number of changes to improve overall speed. This feature will be noticed particularly when working with section lines within the Profile view when there is a lot of topographic data.

• Fixed Printing Adjustments to Form 1099  – Farm Works Accounting software now supports adjustments to recipients name (moving down) and city, state, zip (moving up) on form 1099 so it shows better in envelop address window.

• Multiple Report Viewing - Accounting software now supports the ability to view multiple reports on the screen at the same time.  This feature is especially useful when using multiple monitors and different reports are desired for viewing on each monitor.

• Updated 2013 Payroll Taxes - Accounting software now supports 2013 federal and FICA withholdings tables.  Medicare withholdings have also been updated with improved reports for social security and federal withholdings.
